ALEPPO, Syria (AA) – A joint attack by Syrian opposition groups in Aleppo has killed 45 Islamic State militants, a spokesman for one of the groups has said.
Salih Anadani, a spokesman for the Islamic Front in Aleppo, said the Islamic Front, together with three other armed Islamist groups, conducted a joint operation on Tuesday.
As well as the casualties, three IS fighters were taken prisoner, he added. Clashes with both IS and Syrian government forces are continuing north of Aleppo.
