BAGHDAD (AA) – At least 19 people have been killed in two separate blasts in the Iraqi capital Baghdad late on Saturday, according to security sources.
A bomb placed on a road in al-Mansour district of Baghdad exploded, killing 15 people and injuring seven others, police said.
Separately, four people were killed and four others wounded in a bomb attack launched in Yarmouk district.
No group has stepped forward so far to claim responsibility for the attacks.
Thousands have been killed by violence in Iraq since early June when a coalition of armed groups led by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant took control of large swathes of the country’s predominantly Sunni provinces.
