Man kills in-law in Malawi



A 39-year-old Malawian is to answer murder charges after he allegedly murdered his in-law, police in the central district of Ntchisi have confirmed and identified the accused as Timoti Chinsasa.

It is alleged that on April 1 the deceased, Dickson Kwenda, who married Chinsasa’s sister some 10 years back went home while drunk and started insulting his in law (Chinsasa) which ended in being assaulted and later fainting.

Efforts by medical personnel to resuscitate him at Ntchisi District Hospital proved futile as he died on April 4 and according to police the post-mortem showed that he died of internal bleeding.

The 37 year old who is survived by a wife and seven children hailed from Dedza while his in-law and assailant from Ntchisi.
