A local businessman whose computer accessories shop was broken into on 11th of January positively identified the robbers after one of the television stations aired a story of a raid at a chemist in Nairobi’s Kileleshwa estate on Monday this week.
The businessman presented clips extracted from a CCTV server in his shop showing the four robbers breaking into the shop located at highway towers building along Kenyatta lane in Nakuru town.
The recording indicates that the four robbers struck at 2.20am and ransacked the entire shop and on noticing two CCTV cameras were on, they dismantled them but could not reach the server.
Detectives from the rift valley provincial criminal investigations offices have since then been investigating the raid but have not made any arrests so far.
The businessman who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the robbers broke into three shops and made away with property worth over 5 million shillings.
During today’s shooting police said that the four robbers shot dead are believed to have taken part in the Monday’s Kileleshwa robbery.
