Sierra Leonean-born CNN Anchor Isha Sesay is engaged and preparing for the big day

CNN Anchor - Isha SesayTop CNN Anchor and news presenter, Isha Sesay, is set to walk down the aisle soon, as news broke out that the Sierra Leonean-born cutie is engaged to an unknown man. The news of the engagement first broke out when her CNN colleague,  Anderson Cooper, revealed the secret on air by popping the question to Isha  “ I have heard some great news, you’ve become engaged correct?” who then reluctantly confirmed that she just got engaged in the presence of family and friends by saying with a beaming smile and showing off  her beautiful sparkling engagement ring,  “I am engaged…thank you…I cannot believe this is happening, you are doing this to me. It happened on Saturday night in front of lots of friends.”

Isha who lost her dad, a lawyer, in 1988, and whose mother Dr. Kadi Sesay was one-time Trade Minster in the last SLPP government in Sierra Leone, is host of CNN news programs NewsCenter and BackStory. She has become a recognized face in broadcasting around the world. She started her TV career in the UK, working first as a researcher for the  BBC talk show Kilroy and then later as a presenter at BBC Choice before joining Sky Sports News. She then moved to ITN before joining CNN.

Wishing Isha the best of everything in her impending marriage. I knew her late father Mamoud very well. He was extremely brilliant and a gifted talker. We both attended EUB elementary school at Magburaka. I saw him a couple of times when he worked at the SLPMB office in Freetown. Indeed, his death was a big loss to our country. May his soul rest in peace
