Latest reports emanating from the football scene reveal that Arsenal has shown great interest in their intentions of opting to sign up Celtic’s defensive midfielder Victor Mugabe Wanyama. The Gunners have pledged to sign a $15.7 million to acquire his much sought after services.  Arsenal’s Coach Arsene Wenger who has had the privilege of witnessing the Celtic player strike a win for his team in the past eight days, said that they might consider signing him up by the end of the week. On the other hand, Manchester United’s boss Sir Alex Ferguson is also eyeing the promising player given the fact he has been receiving positive reports about him and his desire to join and showcase his prowess in the English Premier League.

News has it that Manchester United has compiled a dossier on the Kenyan midfielder and look forward to sending more scouts to monitor him during his forthcoming match slated on Wednesday when his team shall be facing it out against HJK Helsinki in the ongoing UEFA Champions League. In the past week, both Clubs sent their scouts to watch Wanyama in action when he was playing against Norwich City. The match after that was against his very own brother McDonald Mariga’s Inter Millan on Saturday. According to the post match analysis, Wanyama is said to have put up a performance that befitted his title of the day as the Celtic Captain.

However, the Celtic Manager Neil Lennon has shown indications that the team isn’t willing to sell him out yet until their fate in the Champions League is determined. “Celtic is facing injury crisis ahead of Wednesday night’s Champion’s League qualifier against HJK Helsinki,” said Lennon.

Since his move from the Scottish side last season which cost the Scottish side around 1 million pounds to obtain him from the Belgian side Germinal Beerschot, Wanyama is currently valued at 8 million pounds. This is according to the football desk is a significant increase indeed that has forced the Celtic team to consider increasing the amount to over 10 million pounds given the fact that Wanyama is their most highly priced player in the team at the moment.

Attention now drifts to the Celtic player as he carefully calculates his next move that shall see him conquer his ambitions of featuring in the English Premier League.
