Ugandan youths taunt police

Two people have been killed in Kampala, the Ugandan capital as security forces clash with rioters. The violence in the city has been triggered by police and senior officials from Buganda, one of the four ancient kingdoms of Uganda. The Buganda Prime Minister who is barred from visiting Kayunga east of the capital made a trip to the area to inspect a farm land that the kingdom believes is on its historical territory.

The Kabaka of Buganda, who is the tradition ruler or King, is planning a controversial trip to the area himself making it obvious that the violence will continue. One of the people killed was a 2o year old man who died from gunshot wounds to the chest. The other victim was a teenager was shot in the head and was wrapped in a shawl. The violence which started the previous day had already claimed the lives of three more victims.
